Amanda Ellis
FounderAmanda is a dedicated registered nurse with 13 years of experience caring for patients and their families during some of life’s most vulnerable moments. She knew from the start of her career that nursing was not a job – but a personal calling. Whether it’s explaining a complex diagnosis in plain language, standing up for a patient’s wishes with the care team, or simply offering a compassionate presence during difficult time, she strives to make sure no one feels alone in their healthcare journey.
After having an extremely difficult personal experience with her own father’s health, Amanda saw a void in the system and the critical need for healthcare advocates. Amanda is a Board of Directors member for a 501c3, and has held numerous roles in healthcare from bedside to management to education responsible for 200+ nurses at a single Level 1 Trauma Hospital.

Darren Ellis
FounderDarren has a heart and background for public service. As a former Law Enforcement Officer, former legal consultant, current Non-Profit Board of Directors Member, and current Clinical Psychology Doctoral student, he is intimately familiar with the gaps and shortcomings in various systems, especially and including that of healthcare. Having lost his own father to medical negligence and malpractice, he made it his mission to ensure that other patients and their families can avoid the pain and trauma that comes with substandard health care, lackluster treatment, and medical carelessness. Darren has a personal and professional history of standing up for those that can’t and finding success where others have failed.
